Many people trying is not the same as everyone trying. There are people out there who are keeping fish that you think can't be kept together in harmony. I really don't want to argue here because arguing with people who have a one sided mind gets no where.
Hey, listen! I have an idea! We should get a few people, go on strike, break all the fish tanks out there and return all the fish to the oceans! That way, they can live there without any problems and grow to their full length.
Go to Wet Web Media, experts who know what they are talking about, research these fish and tell me why you can keep this mix of fish long term when many have tried and failed. Look up Ultimate reef, there are many people who have tried what you are doing and they all have wipe outs and end up shutting down. Show me ONE tank like this where the fish are adults,(unless it is many hundreds of gallons) anyone can put juvenile fish together and ok for a time but what happens when the fish grow.
Do you know this from experience or what you have been reading/hearing? Not everyone has the same experience. For some people it works, and others no. Just because you think it doesn't/wont work doesn't mean it won't. You say tanks like these are shut down after a year because of problems but people have had setups like this for 4+ years withing any problem. I think you just need to calm down a little and enjoy the hobby.
thats because you obviously know little about compatibilty of marine fish, you see a tank like this and think ooh that looks nice, anyone can put any fish in a tank without considering the long term welfare of the fish themselves. Tanks like these are usually shut down after a year or two because of problems either with disease or fish fighting.
its a wrought iron butterfly. it cost about $2000 and is very hard to keep because it requires temperatures a lot lower than most fish (around 70 F). it requires 180 gallon, other than that, its a pretty hardy fish
Amazing.
ReplyDeleteHalf of those fish would eat the corals/inverts.
ReplyDeletethat aint an angelfish, its a wrought iron butterflyfish. its still a beautiful fish tho
ReplyDeletei won't say your aquarium is crowded but having this many fish is distracting can't focus on one fish
ReplyDeleteAwesome fish choices. Love the tank. This tank, is making me think about doing a fish only tank.
