quick question i just finish setting up my planted tank and there seems to be a lot of brown stuff on the sand with some white thingy that wiggles around everything, whats happening?
Thanks man, I've got it (I think) under control...still a learning process for me in such a "small" aquarium..I have a Koi pond on my property and I'm good with that...thank you for your answer.
hi i have the same alae eaters and tiger bars they had babys they are good they should put difffernt named if i spelled wrong storry i'am out of school that why okay do you have co2 kit if not thats whay they are dieding bye see you later okay.
Here's an idea for your water changes, I have a 30 gallon tank I set up in my office and a 55 gallon tank at home. I use plastic trash cans and a normal gravel vac for my 55 gallon tank at home to empty the old water into. In the office I use Culligan 5 gallon water jugs and again the normal gravel vac. Easy transport, easy clean up, all around "that was easy".
Thanks for the video.The alge eaters are plecos and will grow very large 12 inches or so... You might want to think about what to do with them once they are too large for you tank. Overall the video was great.
Yes, like he mentioned, drafts can be a problem if your heater does not have a lot of power, but a big reason is direct sunlight. Algae growth will be sped up with a lot of UV light so keep tank out of sunlight and only run your tank light for about 8-10 hours a day.
I believe your algae eaters are plecs. If so they'll grow to be pretty big (one of mine grew to around 20cm in a tank close to your size). They're beautiful fish really.
why is it that i bought the master test kit and i do a with fish cycle and i dont get that foggy tank or anything... after 2 weeks its cycled but when i check it first week it dosnt have a huge spike and after 2 weeks its cycled completely... is this normal
I put 5 Red Minor Tetras in my tank while it cycled. Lost one within 8 hours

ReplyDeleteit means to in courage friendly bacteria to get in to your tank aswell as waiting for ph levels to go to the correct safety level

ReplyDeleteYour gonna need at lest 40gal for that algae eater they grow to 2 ft in length but are not fishkillers don't worry about that
