  5. I get the algae off the tank walls front and sides, but leave it on the back wall. Is that ok for the fish?

  6. nitrates and ammonia levels are fine and have baby orange swordtails and neon babies everywhere so i would say there thriving not just surviving

  7. You are very lucky then. And clear water does not always mean that it's clean, have you done proper drop-tests for ammonia and nitrite? And I don't mean those strip tests, those are so unreliable. And I'm pretty darn sure your fish will be surviving rather than thriving. As prey animals, they're not going to let on that they're unwell until it's too late.

    Poor fish.

  8. Yeah, people who point out inaccuracies in videos people watch to learn how to care fo their fish properly. How dare these people not just sit back and let fish be treated cruelly. They can make all the videos they want, but when the "experts" are spouting rubbish there's not a lot of point - people will still watch this video and take it more seriously than one I make (even though mine would be accurate, compared to this rubbish) because I'm not eHow.

  13. It's funny how everyone gets all self-righteous when it comes to caring for fish. People point and say what's wrong and what they should've said. I think those people should make one themselves and still STFU.

  15. if you have a proper filter system and cleaning supplies of a larger tank usually 50 lt or more its once a month, smaller tanks require more frequent cleaning

  19. It depends on a lot of things but once a week is mainly when you're having major algae issues or you're still in the cycling period. That or you have a lot of fish producing tons of fecal matter *stares at my electric cat...*
