  1. I have no experience with that fixture so cannot comment much there.

  2. Although you didn't mention it in your video I was curious to know your opinion on the Sunbrite 48 inch led fixture? Good? Bad?

  6. thanks, is this kind of light okay? :Finnex Refugium Aquarium Light w/ LED 26 Watt 30,000k-10,000l Blue/White(Silver)

  7. Basically, any light that is in the 65k to 8K will work well in growing macro algae. The more the watts the better. It can be Power Compacts, T5's or even LED's.

  10. Probably not, because I did see the fixture, and it appears to be the same as the old one, only with a timer. Only way I would review it is if they send it to me for testing.

  12. Hey steelo, marineland just came out with their new and improved line of " reef capable " LED fixtures, with a programmable timer. Will you be reviewing this fixture as well?

  13. No, I tried corals on this fixture in all depths, and although some of the corals survived, they looked dull after a few weeks and did not do so well. If you want to keep SPS's, invest in a good LED fixture which will cost quite a bit more than this one.

  14. i have a 55 gallon tank and i want to get led's and this being one of the cheapest fixtures i was drawn to it but i want sps corals do you think if the corals are 6'' from the surface the would be ok because the par would be higher and im afraid if there any lower in the tank they wouldn't get enogh par and die

  15. Your welcome. If you ever do want to go to LED's I would recommend a much higher end fixture. Good luck.

  16. I have the T-5 lights and was going to go with the led, but now seeing this , think i'll just stay with my T-5 fixture, thanks again for the great video, Thumbs up~!

  17. It depends on what you want to keep. This is a fixture I would not use for delicate SPS's.

  18. I try to replicate nature as much as possible and normally provide 10 to 12 hours of lighting for proper photosynthesis.
