  3. Yes you said it was for the higher protein fish. I was asking if you use it for anything. Do you only have mbuna in your tanks or do you have some peacocks as well? I might be getting Tanganykan shelldwellers sometime soon do you think they can handle the protein?

  4. Hi buddy, I'm sure I said what the red is for in the video? The protein level is high in rift Lake Red so it's best fed to Haps and peacocks (Species that can handle high protein levels)

  5. What do you use the rift lake red for? I ordered some New Era wanting the rift lake green but they accidently sent me the red and they are sending me the green for no charge. I'm glad they are fair. I am allowed to keep the red and I do not know what to do with it.

  15. I just ordered 10.6 oz of the green pellet. The shipping was 8 dollars and then the fish food itself was 11! Really expensive if you ask me for 10.6 oz. It should arrive in 5-7 days so I'll let you know what I think.

  16. Dirty bugger, dunno how you dared the green smelling as sour as it does, would be kind of like licking some algae off a stone i'd imagine.

And as for the red variety it smells like herrings that've been dried in the sun, forever. I shudder at the thought.

  17. Have to agree with you here that these pellets are a great fish food. Though both varieties are particularly bad smelling, sign of quality maybe !? I feed the green to my Tropheus and red to the haps / peacocks.

Incase you are interested in giving a little protein to your mbuna, I find frozen mysis once a week to be one form of easily digestible protein for mainly vegetarian fish. Do you know if stevenich has closed down ????

  18. I just stripped the rest of the fry from her and got 9 more! I kinda feel bad for her though I cannot imagine the stress.

  19. Well my mbuna killed 4 of the fry in the trap so I got the other two and put them in a 5 gallon and they are doing fine. I'm kinda worried about the fry in the mothers mouth because they have no egg sac but there is still a couple days till she spits.
